Responding to Disasters Across Uttarakhand

On the Frontlines of Hope near Syanachatti

Two months ago, torrential rains and landslides struck Uttarkashi near Syanachatti, washing away the vital bridge that connected villages like Kunsala, Kupra, and Trikhli. Overnight, hundreds of families were left cut off from the outside world. Schools shut down, crops were delayed, and access to medical care became nearly impossible.

At such a critical moment, Mountain Forum Himalayas stepped in, reaching these three cut-off villages and providing relief support to 200 affected families.

Critical Support in Kupra Village

Mountain Forum Himalayas also delivered essential, focused relief to 140 disaster-affected families specifically in Kupra village, near Barkot, to ensure they had the necessary supplies to rebuild and maintain their health and safety.

This is more than just an emergency response. It is a pledge to stand shoulder to shoulder with the most vulnerable mountain communities, ensuring they are not forgotten in times of crisis.
